BIG BO – BEST DUTCH BLUES ALBUM 2018 award
UPDATE: March 30, 2019
Wow, just WOW, today I was awarded with the BEST DUTCH BLUES ALBUM 2018 award for the album “Preaching the Blues”. I was handed out the award at the Blues Cruise Festival by Arie Verheul from the Dutch Blues Foundation. I am very honored for receiving this award, it is another crown on the hard work and the passion that me and Vera are putting into our musical projects. The theatre show Preaching the Blues and it’s Kids edition are still on the programme, we are traveling the country to tell about the origins of the Blues and keeping the music and it’s rich heritage alive. Winning this award means so much to us, it is a kind hand on our shoulders and a friendly push to go on spreading the word.
We like to thank our audience, thank you for your votes, your trust and support throughout the years helping us doing what we do. We like to thank all the venues that booked us and of course we like to thank the people at the Dutch Blues Foundation, who really are comitted to the Blues in the Netherlands. Hats off to you all!
Last I would like to thank my life partner and inspiration Vera van Faassen, without her all of this would not have been possible. I love you.
The Blues is alright!
With love, Bo and Vera

BIG BO – BEST DUTCH BLUES ALBUM 2018 Nomination.
I am very pleased to announce that my latest album “PREACHING THE BLUES” is nominated for Best Dutch Blues Album 2018.
This record features 12 traditional songs, taken from the theatre show “Preaching the Blues” and was recorded live at Uncle Larson Studio with just one old microphone from the 30’s.
Now I would like to ask you to put in your votes for my record, on the website of the Dutch Blues Foundation. This can be done during the month of February 2019.
Please support my new album. Voting can be done here (closed).
Thank you a million times!
